One person downloads Sprout Social's Post Performance report each Monday and emails it in. That file is how social results get into client reports at reporting.fwpops.com.
sprout@in.fwpops.comAccepts the CSV from approved senders only.
Check your file before sending
Drop the CSV here and it's checked against what the importer expects: the right report, the right columns, the right dates, every profile, untouched by Excel. The file stays on your computer; nothing is uploaded.
Why this matters
Our Sprout plan has no API and can't schedule exports, so a person has to send the file. Once it arrives it's read automatically, and any client report that covers those dates picks up the posts on our profiles that featured the client.
We export the Last 28 Days every week, not just the last 7. Posts keep collecting reach and clicks for weeks after they go up, so each export refreshes recent posts with their newer numbers. Overlap is expected; the newest file wins.
Before you start (one time)
Sprout access. You need a Sprout login that can open Reports and see every FW profile (Scene, Post, Nfocus, Williamson Scene, plus events).
Get your email address allowed. The inbox only accepts files from approved senders. Send your work address to Mike once; until it's added, your emails are silently ignored. It doesn't have to be the address you use in Sprout.
Save the addresssprout@in.fwpops.com as a contact, so you don't mistype it.
Put a weekly reminder on your calendar for Monday morning.
Every Monday: the steps
Open the report. Use your bookmark, or in Sprout click Reports in the left rail, then Post Performance under Cross-Network. The page title reads "Post Performance" and the table header says "Published Posts".
Check the profiles. In the filter bar under the title, Sources should show every network icon (X, Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn and the rest). If someone narrowed it, click Clear All at the right end of the filter bar.
Set the dates to Last 28 Days. Click the date button at the top right (it shows a range like 10/2/2026 – 10/29/2026).
Pick Last 28 Days from the presets (the list is Last 7 Days, Last Week, Last 28 Days, Last Month). There is no "Last 30 days".
The range ends yesterday. The button should now show it, and the post count above the table should change.
Wait for the table to finish loading. The summary row (post count and totals) updates when it's done.
Download the CSV. Click the Share button (the square with an arrow, next to the star at the top right), then Download CSV.
Not Download PDF, and not Send PDF.
A box titled Export Published Post Data opens. In the profile list, make sure every profile is ticked. The festival profiles (Music City Food & Wine, Crafty Bastards and the rest) and YouTube can start unticked.
Leave All Metrics selected, then click Export CSV.
The file lands in your Downloads folder, named like Post Performance (Nashville Scene) October 2, 2026 - October 29, 2026.csv. Keep that name; the date range in it is read automatically.
Email it. In a new email to sprout@in.fwpops.com:
Subject: Sprout export – week of <Monday's date>, e.g. Sprout export – week of Oct 26, 2026
Attach the CSV exactly as downloaded. Don't rename, open or edit it. Excel can quietly change dates and numbers if you save it.
The body can be empty. Send.
That's it. The file is picked up automatically.
More than one Sprout group? The report covers one Sprout group at a time (the name shows in the file name, e.g. (Nashville Scene)). If the Nashville Post, Nfocus or Williamson Scene profiles live in another group, switch to that group and repeat steps 1–6: one email per group.
Did it work?
Every file is checked before anything is imported. If it passes, there's no email: it's in. If it fails (wrong report, Excel damage, missing metrics, no attachment), nothing is imported and the reporting team gets an email saying what's wrong. Client reports keep using the last good data until a fixed file arrives.
What you see
Why
What to do
Email bounces back
Address mistyped
Check it's exactly sprout@in.fwpops.com and resend
The team got a “Sprout import failed” email
The file didn't pass the checks
Read the reason in the email, export again from Sprout, check it above, resend
No bounce, but Mike says nothing arrived
Your address isn't on the allowed list yet
Ask Mike to add your work address, then resend
Sprout shows far fewer posts than usual
A filter is narrowing it (one profile, one post type)
Click Clear All in the filter bar, re-set the dates, download again
Download CSV is greyed out or missing
Table still loading, or your login lacks report access
Wait for the totals row; if it stays missing, ask a Sprout admin for Reports access
File is over 25 MB
Range far longer than 28 days
Re-export just the Last 28 Days
You missed a Monday
It happens
Send it whenever you're back; the 28-day window covers the gap, up to 3 missed weeks
Don'ts
Don't change the report's columns or filters to "clean it up." The importer expects Sprout's standard Post Performance columns.
Don't open and re-save the CSV in Excel or Numbers. Send the original download.
Only one CSV per email, and nothing else attached. Other files are ignored.
Don't send other Sprout reports (Profile Performance, Paid, Competitors) to this address. Only Post Performance is used.
Don't forward this address or use it for anything else. It accepts files only from approved senders and only for this export.
